Hot Rod Custom Computers Warranty, Service and Guarantee

  A warranty is only as good as the company that declares it be so. But what are the risks? I thought BFG had the best warranty and service in the business, and they did, limited lifetime warranty on all products. But they went belly up in 2010 and their warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Could it be said that a warranty is not so much as good as the company that declares it to be so, but the man behind the company that declares it to be so. At Hot Rod Custom Computers we believe in old fashioned values, honor and integrity, we work on a simple principle, if it's our fault we'll fix it, if it's yours then we can fix it but there may be charges.  We do what we can for our customers, we want your return business so be honest with us and your integrity will go a long way.  If you like to over clock computers, I know this can be a lot of fun, I've personally done this many times, but please understand all warranties are off, it's to easy to overheat a CPU or other vital system component.

Expectations of a warranty

  A warranty should be reasonable, simple to understand and simple to collect on should the need arise. After all its like insurance from faulty work or products. Simple is better for everyone, you shouldn't have to be an attorney to understand it and were not trying to hide behind legal loopholes.

There are no "Warranty Cards" to fill out!  Your purchase automatically registers the warranty in the persons name that it was shipped to.

  1.   Hot Rod Custom Computers warrants the computer purchased from us to be free from defects for parts for a period of one year from the date of delivery to your home or office.
  2.   Hot Rod Computers warrants the labor for the same computer to be free from defects due to labor for life   (We believe in our abilities to build and test computers) this does not cover:
      Parts wearing out, example: Five years down the road your processor goes out ( it was assembled correctly, that is what the warranty implies)
  3. The warranty implies the customer is responsible for the computer (care and maintenance) while it is in their care.
Other items not covered by Warranty:
  1. Damage due to water or moisture
  2. Damage due to over clocking the CPU, graphic cards or RAM
  3. Alterations of any kind, including cooling products  ie: removing or replacing a (processor, norhtbridge or southbridge) cooling fan or heatsink product
  4. Damage due to Viruses
  5. Software: we do not warranty nor support Software of any kind, support will be available from the Software Co's web site
  6. We do not warranty products from shock, example: dropping the computer, tapping on the side panel to quiet a fan that's going out, pounding on the tower,etc
  7. We do not warranty lights of any kind, this includes case lighted fans, CPU lighted fans, case front panel lights, add on lighting of any kind
  8. We do not warranty Monitors, these should be under Warranty from their manufacturer
  9. Damage from abuse or neglect of any kind, example: computer left near open window on rainy day. (The warranty implies customer responsibility to protect their property.)
  10. Damage due to Acts of God, Natural Disasters, Tornadoes, Floods,Theft, etc.

Thirty Day money back Guarantee

on any computer you buy from us, no questions asked. Certainly we would like a chance to make it right with you, but the bottom line is to keep you happy and coming back to us in the future. To be eligible for this you must contact us within thirty days of delivery. The computer must be received back in like new condition within two weeks of notifying us. Returned computers will be fully tested and resold for a discount as used with the same warranty as a new one. Original shipping not refundable, also customer pays to ship computer back to us. Customer is responsible for the products in the return shipping portion of this transaction.  I recommend on the return shipping, requiring a signature and insuring the products.

This Guarantee does not cover the following conditions:

  1. abuse of any kind.
  2. Alterations of any kind, including cooling products  ie: removing or replacing a (processor, norhtbridge or southbridge) cooling fan or heatsink product
  3. Damage due to viruses.
  4. Computers purchased for testing purposes with the intent of returning after they have examined or compared to other manufacturers, whether for research or comparison advertising whether by individual, business or corporate entity.
