I'm not sure if I was enthusiastic about gaming or computers first, both started for me in 1979.  I got my first personal computer, a Texas Instruments TI99 and began programming. Programming language has changed tremendously in thirty three years as has the personal computer. Back then you had to be creative, the TI99 only had 16k RAM and no hard drive, instead I had a tape drive to store my program work on. There was no GUI (graphic user interface) so if you wanted to see something on the screen you had to program it. It's funny how time changes things, back then what I thought was great would bore me to tears today. As time went on I went from PC to PC always updating and enjoying the newer products as they came out. It occurred to me one day that we haven't changed as much as we think, we still are doing the same thing. We buy a computer only to find two years later it's slow and out-dated so we buy another and another and the whole process keeps repeating over and over!   So why a "Custom Computer"?

Performance - this kind of goes hand in hand with Longevity, you will benefit with much better performance over the years, better frame rates translate into better, smother graphics.
